Spring has finally sprung here in PA, along with all the flowers, pollen, rain and allergies. Despite Cass’s current stuffy head, and Tina’s cold from a couple of weeks ago, we’re focusing on all the positives! Here are some favorites from last month…
Tina’s forsythia bushes really popped in April – and just in time for the big Easter party! In Cass’s backyard, Medusa (the wisteria vine enveloping her pergola), is strutting her stuff as well.
Easter and Passover are nearly upon us! Cass was out of town last week, and I was charged with publishing my London post in her absence. But, as you may recall from the week before, I’m expecting an updated count of 27 people (plus one extra dog!) for Easter dinner on Saturday… I was way too busy prepping to have time to sort through all my England photos and notes. So instead, I thought I’d throw together Continue reading →
Well, March did not disappoint – coming in like a lion and heading out like a lamb. The month was filled with crazy roller-coaster weather changes, from snowstorms to 70 degree sunny days. We had a number of activities keeping us on our toes, like the boys coming home for spring break, a new craft venture underway, some major blog reconstruction (hopefully mostly behind the scenes?), a trip to England and a new puppy! Whew… Never a dull moment!

February has left us with some crazy weather patterns here in PA (though nothing compared to what friends and relatives in the “polar vortex” experienced last month!). Temperatures have bounced from the 60s one day to below 30 the next, bringing alternating snow, sun, ice, wind and lots of rain. As a result, our favorite things are a mix of indoor and outdoor gems, and what a selection we have!

The holidays have come and gone, and you know what that meant? We were just too busy to post our monthly favorites – not only for December, but for November as well! How did that happen?? Between the boys being home from school, travels to relatives, relatives traveling to us, holiday shopping, decorating, cooking… you name it, the usual seasonal craziness…. we got a little off track. So here is a selection of our highlights for November, December and January!
Favorite Throwback to Days Gone By (Cass)
One of our family traditions is to visit Easton, PA. My grandparents on both sides lived there, as well as my parents and I until I was five years old. Many special memories are Continue reading →
